Harand Camp is seeking Counselors (ages 18+) for our 2025 Season! Must be available to live and work on campus June 9-July 29, 2025.
Requirements

Must be 18+ (out of high school)

Excellent with kids of all ages

High energy & flexible in a fast-paced environment

Strong leadership & team-building skills

Positive attitude, common sense, and sound judgment

Sincere desire to be a role model for children

Interest in the arts/musical theater a plus!

Ability to instruct and assist classes in variety of areas
Specialty / Teaching Areas

Performing Arts: Vocal Music, Dance / Choreo, Acting

Technical Theater: Scenic Design, Lights, Sound, Costumes

Sports & Fitness: Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Yoga

Pool Games / Swimming (Lifeguard / WSI a plus!)

Visual Arts: Arts & Crafts, Film/Video, Photography

Dates & Details
2025 Dates: June 9 - July 29, 2025
Seven-week commitment (including orientation)
Counselors must be available to work and reside on campus for the entire camp season!
Salary: ​

$1400+ for Assistant Counselors (18+, just graduated hs)
-
$1500+ for Counselors (18+, one year out of high school)

More based on experience, education or certification.

Bonuses for referring new 3 or 6 week campers and new counselors that complete the summer contract!

Counselors also receive FULL room & board on the Carthage campus (single or double dorm room and 3 meals a day, valued an additional $450+ per week) and all work-related activities paid for

Travel stipend available for those from outside IL/WI

Salaries reflect the full 7 weeks and are paid at the end of camp. Advances available after the first 2 weeks.
Time-Off: Four (4) full days off per camp season (2 per session), plus rotating late evenings

Prospective counselors must submit a complete application (including employment history), participate in an interview (via phone), and are subject to a reference & background check.
Strong applicants should have previous camp or teaching experience & the ability (and willingness!) to teach or assist in a variety of activity areas - specifically those outside the performing arts! Please see our Electives Page for information about our classes and activities.
